Heron Cove’s full breakfast meal is cooked fresh to your order. Breakfast times are flexible; 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Fresh brewed coffee is available at 7:00 a.m. until 9:30. Of course, coffee and tea are available 24/7 from Keurig with a wide variety of K-cups. Meals begin with a fresh fruit cup or chilled orange juice. Whole eggs, egg whites or egg-beaters scrambled, easy-over or as a cheddar cheese omelet are always available. Some mornings may see pancakes or cinnamon-raisin French toast with genuine maple syrup. Grits are always available, along with fresh-baked cinnamon-raisin biscuits. Bacon, pork or turkey sausage, and sometimes baked ham slices are offered. If the chef is feeling particularly industrious, there may be home-fried potatoes and onion to accompany your eggs.
A menu will be offered the night before, so that you can select what you would like to eat the next morning.
Guests with very early departure times may want a lighter option, and we will attempt to accommodate your needs.
Of course, special dietary issues or restrictions will be handled to the best of our ability.
Heron Cove has several wonderful areas to enjoy your breakfast: the sunroom/kitchen with its huge windows looking out at the marsh; the private and romantic table for two or the table for four on the back screened porch; and the formal dining room.
Snack: Varies with the day and availability. Ranges from Cheese and crackers to cookies. Consult with the chef and see what you can talk him into. A glass of wine is often provided with the cheese and crackers. On cooler nights, snack may be had in front of a wood fire on the rear porch.
